Senior Editor, Adweek
Doug Zanger is a senior editor for Adweek and focuses on a wide range of topics and issues related to creativity and the agency world, with a special interest in raising the voices of diverse talent to help create further equity in the industry. This commitment led to recognition by Women in Marketing in 2017. A Minnesota native, Zanger has also covered a wide range of brands and personalities, including a profile of soccer star Megan Rapinoe and basketball legend Sue Bird, and wrote Adweek’s cover story on the NFL’s Super Bowl commercial. Zanger has also served as moderator at several marketing industry events and conferences. Prior to Adweek, Zanger was Americas Editor for The Drum, had an 8-year run at Advertising Weekwhere he led year-round content and special partner projects with some of the world’s largest and most well-known brands, agencies and technology companiesand spent 12 years in radio, where he won several creative awards including the prestigious Radio Mercury Award. Zanger is on the board of the Portland Advertising Federation and lives outside of Portland, Oregon with his wife, two children and a precocious Golden Retriever.
