Dr. Eva Kipnis
Senior Lecturer International Marketing, University of Sheffield
Dr Eva Kipnis is a Senior Lecturer in International Marketing and the co-director of Behavioural Research in Inclusivity, Sustainability and Technological Transformation research cluster at The University of Sheffield. She earned a PhD in Marketing from Durham University, for which she received a Best Thesis Award. Her interest in the social impacts of marketing activity, particularly in the area of multicultural inclusion, was first sparked in her first career as a practicing marketer in Kazakhstan, where she worked or consulted for local and international businesses such as Mittal Steel. As a marketing scientist and educator, Eva is an advocate for advancing marketing science and practice for leveraging marketing’s potential for transformative social change.
Eva teaches undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students on such topics as Marketing and Social Inclusion, Global Marketing and International Marketing. Her research on consumer wellbeing in multicultural marketplaces and Diversity and Inclusion Engaged Marketing appeared in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Consumption, Markets & Culture, among others. She is passionate about conducting research that engages with non-academic stakeholders and about supporting early career academics. She is part of Multicultural Marketplaces Network – an international and multicultural community of marketing academics and practitioners interested in experiences of consumers, brands and organisations in culturally diverse societies. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Transformative Consumer Research movement.
