Special Award for Outstanding Contribution to Marketing

BRAND
Winner: Ann Steer, Chief Customer Officer, NBrown Group PLC
NBrown operates a family of retail brands including JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo. Under Ann’s guidance NBrown has undergone a huge transformation from a catalogue model to an agile, online retailer. The transformation Ann has implemented includes a relaunch of its oldest brand JD Williams, which is now generating 73% of revenue online, +24% in the last 3 years. Online revenue is 81% looking at new customers only. Promoted to Exco in 2014, Ann was the first woman on the board after the CEO. Ann challenges ‘marketing norms’ with ground-breaking campaigns that celebrate all women and show fashion is for everyone regardless of age, shape or size. In line with this marketing ethos, Simply Be was the first London Fashion Week runway to feature plus size models. Ann is equally passionate about the development of women within the industry, launching Women Like Us, NBrown’s network to inspire and develop its female talent. The initiative provides role models and mentors increasing opportunities for women.

AGENCY
Winner: Becky Munday, CEO, Mando
Becky led 500% growth in 3 years and has a track record of success. She was the youngest MD in the WPP Group at 28 years old. She created opportunities for women (new business divisions/75% female board) and became the first female leader of The Institute of Marketing in over 50 years.

Highly commended: Kat Gordon, Founder, 3% Movement
Kat is a pioneer in advertising, creating a sustained global movement to support women in advertising which has now grown to include all aspects of diversity and inclusion, including industry best practice.
