The Change Maker Award

Since its launch in 1986, The Independent has campaigned for what it believes in, not what it is told to believe. It has grown a huge, global readership of independently minded individuals, who value a trusted voice and commitment to positive change. The Women In Marketing Awards ‘Change Maker Award’ aligns perfectly with The Independent’s mission statement – ‘Making change happen’ – dedicated to not just reporting on positive change but aiming to enact it. Having been past recipients of this very award, The Independent is passionate about sponsoring this year to see more global changemakers recognised for their dedication to the greater good.

The Independent Consultant Award

TheZoo.London is a consultant collective for senior talent in the media, marketing, and advertising industry. Founded by Marco Bertozzi and Rachel Forde, both long-time industry veterans with deep roots in agency and sales, the community now includes nearly 700 senior experts and boasts a diverse client base spanning agency, brands, publishers, and Adtech companies.

The company was created with a mission to elevate, celebrate, and professionalise the independent consultant sector while fostering a sense of community and support in what can often be a solitary profession. These aims align closely with the goals of the WIM award, which recognises the many women who have chosen consulting for the freedom and flexibility it provides, while also shining a light on consulting as a respected and valuable career path.
