Known for her straight-talking and restless curiosity, Suzi has a strong belief in growing business through insight, partnerships and innovation, and nurturing talent through coaching & diversity. In 2014 she was selected as one of Debretts inaugural 500 influencers. She was also voted one of the 100 most innovative CMOs in the world ( Hot Topics ) .
.Leaving BT at the end of 2015, she was invited to join the Board of The AA – a business at the intersection of tech and lifestyle transformation and with many exciting challenges. She also sits on the board of Number Ten’s Great Council & Shakespeare 400 initiatives, as well as advising a number of early stage start ups.
Starting her career in brand management at Proctor & Gamble, a mix of media, strategy & technology roles across Orange, the BBC, KPMG and Capital Radio Group led to her role as BT’s Chief Brand Officer. For close to ten years, she led BT’s brand & marketing – most notably the bid to become a London 2012 marketing partner & the company’s London 2012 marketing programme. Latterly, she focused on BT’s business to business brand, the coaching of BT’s 800 strong marketing community, and the successful International Festival for Business in Liverpool – celebrating BT’s support for entrepreneurs. Some say that in her ten year tenure she took the BT Brand ‘ from drab to fab”. The data says the value of the brand tripled across that ten year period.
