Maria has worked in the private, public and not-for-profit sector with a focus on developing and cultivating relationships that complement the strategic objectives of the organisation. From working for Omnicom Group and WPP to an environmental charity – Waste Watch, Maria is passionate about making a difference for the social good. Through her experience as a marketer and fundraiser for international development charities, she has seen that by providing opportunities for people in developing countries, they can lift themselves out of poverty and improve their life – attaining equality and sustainability. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Vice Chair Charity & Social Marketing Group. Being part of Women in Marketing, gives her the opportunity to share her knowledge and empower people to be the best versions of themselves – for the greater good. Her day job is Head of Development at Book Aid International, where books change lives.
